Retractable pens
Retractable pens are a type of ink pen which have a spring-loaded ink cartridge which retracts and extends outside a protective housing. By clicking downward on the top of the pen, the tip is extended and locks in place at the bottom of the housing for use.
Does stylus pen work on touchpad?
To successfully draw with a stylus pen on a trackpad, keep the stylus in your dominate hand and lightly drag it on the trackpad until your cursor appears where you would like to begin to draw on the canvas. Next, use your pointer finger on your other hand to hold down the trackpad button that will allow you to draw.

Why do pens make a clicking sound?
The clicking sound, while the most annoying part for other parties, is only part of the feedback mechanism when retracting your pen. There’s the sensation of pushing in the button, and a small physical kick that is felt in the pen button and throughout the pen when the retracting spring is called into action.
Can stylus be used on laptop?

How do clicky pens work?
The click pens button is pushed which drives the plunger and the cam body downwards below the fixed stop members. When you release the push button a spring at the top of the pen forces the plunger back up the pen which allows the cam body to rotate another 45 degrees and strike the blue stop members.
